The Arid Club has always been a place where Boise’s leaders gather — to build relationships, conduct business, and celebrate milestones. Founded in 1885, our Club carries a legacy of connection and civic influence that spans generations.
Today, we are proud to share that the next chapter of that legacy has officially begun.
Our historic renovation is complete — and the design has been honored with national awards from BoardRoom Magazine’s Excellence in Achievement Awards 2025
Recognized for Excellence in Design
Castor Design Associates, Inc., the premier private club design firm who partnered with us on this transformation, was awarded:
- Best Bar Lounge Design – 2025
- Best Dining & Event Room Design – 2025
These national awards recognize industry leaders for excellence in promoting the growth and development of club membership — a distinction that reflects not just aesthetic beauty, but thoughtful design that enhances community, engagement, and experience.
Designed for Connection
After numerous interior programs over the years, our Board of Directors developed a bold plan to reimagine the Club’s identity for a new era
The goal was clear: honor our heritage while elevating the member experience.
The result is a space that feels both timeless and forward-looking.
- A striking 24-foot-long bar now anchors the Club, encouraging conversation and spontaneous connection
- A dramatic 20-foot “tree branch” chandelier spans above it, symbolizing the networks and relationships that grow within these walls
- The dining and event spaces flow seamlessly from the bar, creating a professional yet warm environment for business lunches, evening receptions, private celebrations, and signature Club gatherings.
Every detail — from millwork and lighting to furniture and finishes — was curated to reflect the Arid Club’s character: refined, welcoming, and distinctly Boise.
A Space That Reflects Our Members
The renovation was never about change for the sake of change.
It was about aligning our physical space with who our members are today:
- Legacy-minded professionals
- Builders of business and community
- Leaders who value privacy, quality, and meaningful connection
The new design supports both high-level business conversations and relaxed social evenings. It invites engagement while preserving the discretion and professionalism our members expect.
Moving Forward, Rooted in Legacy
BoardRoom Magazine will formally present the awards in February 2026 at the CMAA World Conference in Anaheim, California — but for us, the true reward is seeing the Club alive each evening with conversation, collaboration, and celebration.
This renovation marks more than a refreshed interior. It represents renewed momentum.
The Arid Club remains what it has always been:
A place where Boise’s past, present, and future meet at the table.
